Dean Lems, 59, of Zeeland, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2010 at Hospice House of Holland.

Dean was born August 8, 1951 in Rock Rapids, Iowa to Corbie and Carrie Lems.  He was a member of First Reformed Church of Zeeland.  Dean was preceded in death by his father, Corbie Lems in 2000.

He is survived by his mother, Carrie Lems of Zeeland, siblings:  Lavonne and Marlin Vis of Zeeland, Darwin and Deb Lems of Zeeland, Karla and Steve Cooley of Zeeland, Bev and Dan Van  Den Beldt of West Olive, eleven nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland.   The Rev. Scott Van Oostendorp will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.   Cremation has taken place and interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Holland.
