Alma Mae Scarlett age 92, of Holland, died Friday, December 10, 2010 at Appledorn Living Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 1982 and a son, Howard, in 2006.
Alma was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women’s Society. She worked for Hope College as Manager of International Education Office for over 25 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan and John Middleton of Holland; brothers, Roland and Nancy Bartels of Holland, Jay and Dottie Bartels of Wyoming, MI.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral and committal services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland with Rev. J. Lynn Pier-Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be given to Spectrum Health Hospice or the First United Methodist Church.

My deepest condolences to Sue and John in the lose of Sue's mother. I remember her as a very sweet lady. I'm know she will be greatly missed.
