Mary Beth McGuire

It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Mary Beth McGuire, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend who passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on December 30, 1931. She was the daughter of John and Reva Westover and is now reunited with her parents and her siblings, Beverly Inman Jack Westover, Wyonna Beukema, and James Westover. Mary is survived by her two brothers, Linn and David Westover, and her five children: Eunice Coin, Ruth Smith, Rebecca McGuire, Rachel Stoltenberg, and Timothy McGuire. She was a grandmother to ten grandchildren, great-grandmother to twenty great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandmother to two little ones who brought her immense joy. A woman of many talents, Mary was an accomplished cake decorator, known for crafting beautiful wedding cakes for each of her children. Her home was a haven of warmth and love, where the delightful aromas of freshly baked bread and cinnamon rolls welcomed her children home from school, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Mary's love for music was evident in her beautiful soprano voice, which she shared with her church community through heartfelt solos. She found inspiration in the music of her favorite singer, George Beverly Shea, and her passion for song was a reflection of her deep faith. In addition to her culinary and musical talents, Mary was a skilled seamstress, lovingly creating many of her daughters' clothing. Her intricate crocheted doilies, lovingly crafted by her hands, are proudly displayed by her children, serving as a testament to her creativity and dedication. Mary worked at Kandu Industries for 15 years. She enjoyed working with students, teaching them to cook various dishes in their “restaurant”. At the heart of Mary’s life was her unwavering love for her Lord and Savior, a faith that she instilled in her family. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to God will continue to inspire all who knew her. Mary Beth McGuire will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her nurturing spirit, her artistic talents, and the profound impact she had on the lives of her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held on April 7, 2025, at 10:30 am at Langeland-Sterenberg 315 E 16th st Holland Mi, 49423.
