Barbara Slagh, age 87, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Barbara was a kind, compassionate, gracious, and loving mother. She was the best grandma and great-grandma ever and was a good example on how to live. She graciously shared her faith and her life with others that they might know Christ. She was loved and will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Slagh in 2005; grandson, Jordan Dreyer; and great-grandson, Easton Vizithum. She is survived by her son, Ron and Gail Slagh; daughter, Bev and Mel Assink; son, Vern and Deb Slagh; daughter, Darcy and Doug Dreyer; son, Bruce Slagh; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lorraine Slagh; brother-in-law, Mel Ten Broeke; sister-in-law, Eleanor Slagh; brother-in-law, Vern and Mary Slagh; sister-in-law, Joyce and Larry Houtman; nieces and nephews; and many close friends. Visitation is 4:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland, MI 49464. Funeral Services are at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 24 at Beechwood Reformed Church, 895 Ottawa Beach Rd., Holland, MI 49424. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's honor to Hospice of Holland. Burial to take place in Zeeland Cemetery.
