Brian Kortman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Brian Kortman, age 62, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2022. Brian was a hard worker and committed himself to his family. He was compassionate and made sure everyone felt like part of the family. He and Mindy were great parents and they ended up raising some extra "Bonus kids" with their own. In his extra time, he was focused on his family, whether they needed help or to spend quality time surrounded by laughter and joy. He will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; Henry and Roszella Kortman; and his mother-in-law, Esther Brouwer. He is survived by his wife, Mindy Kortman; son, Alex Kortman (Alyssa Hillis), daughter, Elisha (Mason) Kortman; sister, Sue (Gerald) Cooper; sister, Karen (Ken) McCartney; brother, Allyn Kortman; brother, Glenn (Becky) Kortman; brother, Edwin (Betty) Kortman; brother-in-law, Mark Brouwer; brother-in-law, Mitchell (Tammy) Brouwer; brother-in-law, Matthew (Janet) Brouwer; sister-in-law, Melanie (Kelly) Cross; sister-in-law, Monica (Brent) Zweedyk; father-in-law Floyd (Josette) Brouwer; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Friday, February 18, 2022, at Yntema Funeral Home 251 S. State St. Zeeland, MI 49464. Funeral services are at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 19, 2022, also at Yntema Funeral Home. Burial to take place in Olive Township Cemetery.
