Mr. Craig Heuvelman

Craig Heuvelman, 58, of Zeeland, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013, at his home. Craig was born March 10, 1955, in Zeeland, to John and Lila (Brower) Heuvelman. Craig was raised in Drenthe by his grandparents Nick and Sadie Brower. He graduated from Holland Christian High School and received his bachelor of science degree from Calvin College and his master's degree in educational leadership from Western Michigan University. Craig taught at Rose Park Elementary and Holland Christian Middle School for several years until becoming a realtor. He and his wife, Kristi (Tuls), owned and operated Hamilton Real Estate and joined Greenridge Realty in 2007, where Craig was an associate broker. Craig served on many real estate boards and committees in advancement of the real estate profession. Craig and Kristi are members of Victory Point Ministries. Craig was preceded in death by his father, John Heuvelman, and his niece Aubrey Kasinger, and brothers-in-law Keith Tuls and Jack Tuls. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kristi, their children: Grant Heuvelman of Zeeland and his girlfriend Jamie Grooters, Kacey and Mark Nichols of Zeeland, his mother Lila (Preston) Kasinger of Mountain Home, Arkansas, siblings: Cheryl Romero, Carl and Heather Kasinger, Cody and Dena Kasinger, Cory Kasinger, Curtis and Pam Kasinger, in-laws: Marcia and Al Elgersma, many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, December 27, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland. Visitation is 1-3 & 6-9 pm, Thursday, Dec. 26 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Faith Hospice or Holland Christian Schools.
