Mr. Donald Jay Graveling Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald J. Graveling, 67, of Overisel, went to be with his Lord and Savior February 16, 2015. Don was born in Oakland May 26, 1947, to Lambert and Hazel (Boerman) Graveling. Don married Marilyn Breuker and they raised their family in Overisel. They were members of Overisel Christian Reformed Church where Don served as an elder. Don worked for Dykhuis Farms for many years, and previously worked in construction. Don was a hard working man that was loved by many. Don loved spending time with family at the cottage, trips to Shipshewana, and enjoying life with his beloved family. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marilyn, children: Cindy and Craig Kane, Lisa and Kurt Bomers, Mike and Kerri Graveling; grandchildren: Kody, Austin, and Logan Bomers, Rylan Kane, Aubrey and Wesley Graveling; siblings: Genevieve Gerrits, Fred and Doreen Graveling, Hazel Compagner; in-laws: Myrtle Graveling, Shirley Bosch, Carol Nagelkirk, Marcia and Dale Ryzenga, Calvin and Linda Breuker, many nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor the faith and life of Don Graveling will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, February 20, 2015, at Overisel Christian Reformed Church, A-4738 142nd Ave., Holland 49423. The Rev. Steve Mulder will officiate. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm, Thursday at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland. Interment will be in Overisel Cemetery.
