Dorothy Groenhof Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

January 28, 1924 - October 28, 2013 Dorothy Groenhof age 89, of Holland, went to be with her Lord, Monday, October 28, 2013 at Providence Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 2011. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of America and former member of the Ladies Society. She volunteered with the Christian Service Club. Dorothy is survived by her children, Kathy and Larry Van Oordt of Grand Haven, Mary and Bob Steenstra of Holland, Nancy and Tom Den Bleyker of Hamilton, David and Holly Groenhof of Holland, Philip Groenhof and special friend Karen Spaulding of Holland, James Groenhof of Grand Haven; 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great grandchildren, 1 Great great granddaughter; brothers, Paul Van Loo of Holland, Dick and Louise Van Loo of Holland; in-laws, Roger Zylema of Byron Center, Norma Van Loo of Holland, Donald Bulthuis of Holland; many nieces and nephews. Our family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Providence Healthcare and Rehabilitation for the loving, compassionate care and support given to our parents and family. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA), 1015 E 32nd St., Holland with Rev. Kenneth Klett officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visiting hours are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Holland.
