Edger Hop Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

July 13, 1933 - October 17, 2013 Edgar Hop, age 80 of Holland went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, October 17, 2013. He is survived by his siblings: Marilyn Ryzenga of Hamilton, Norma and Willis Klingenberg of Zeeland, Jay and Shirley Hop of Fillmore, Luwayne and Beverly Hop of Zeeland, Ruth and Ron Hulst of Holland and Glenn and Kathy Hop of Jamestown; Edgar is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Edgar was preceded in death by his parents, Lubert and Gertrude Hop, brother, Carl Hop and brother-in-law, Ernest Ryzenga. He was a member of South Olive Christian Reformed Church and was a resident at Resthaven Care Community for 20 years. Edgar was a friend to all, an enemy to no one and a man with no malice. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2013 at South Olive Christian Reformed Church, 6425 North 120th Avenue, Holland, MI 49424. The Reverend Adam Barton will officiate. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday and 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 East 16th Street, Holland. Interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to South Olive Christian School or Resthaven Care Community.
