Elsa (Texer) Brouwer age 79, of Holland, died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Hospice House of Holland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe in 2004 and a step-daughter, Sally Meiste in 2006. She was a member of Central Ave. Christian Reformed Church. Elsa is survived by her husband, Les; children, Nancy and Jeff Peerbolt of Holland, Tom and Pat Texer of Holland, Julie Courtney of Wyoming; 10 grandchildren, Matt Peerbolt, Nate and Karen Peerbolt, Andy and Mari-Joy Peerbolt, Ben Peerbolt, Ryan and Renee Texer, Brad and Katie Slenk, Joe and Trisha Texer, Megan Elizabeth Courtney, Emilee Ann Courtney, Makenzie Rose Courtney; 7 great grandchildren; step-children, Scott and Linda Brouwer of Holland, Doug and Cindy Brouwer of Holland, Sue and Doug Tucker of Hamilton, Duane and Barb Meiste of Hamilton; 12 step-grandchildren, Eric and Kate Meeuwsen, Bryan and Amy Brouwer, Ben and Heidi Brouwer, Rob and Mitz Brouwer, Bill and Tif Brouwer, Alex and Jenny De Witt, Kyle Tucker, Josh and Candace Tucker, Ryan and Jessie Tucker, Gina Meiste, Jessie Meiste, Josie Meiste; 17 step great grandchildren; siblings, Cleone Meulenbelt of Holland, Norm and Jucille Van Langen of Jenison, Kathy Helmus of Holland, Clarice and Ed Zuidema of Holland, Jan and Al Van Haitsma of Holland, Ruth and Ken Postma of Zeeland; in-laws, Marion Texer of Grand Rapids, Leona Texer of Holland, Alice Texer of Stanwood, John and Virginia Texer of Colorado Springs, Bertha Feltenbarger of Dorr, Fran Dekker of Hudsonville, Russ and Wilma Brouwer of North Carolina, Bernard and Anette Zwiers of Holland, Joyce Brouwer of Holland; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Central Avenue Christian Reformed Church, 259 Central Ave. Holland with Rev. James H. Scholten officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 11, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland.
