Esther Gonzalez Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Esther Gonzalez, age 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 27, 2022. Although the family she leaves behind is filled with sadness from her loss, she is no doubt celebrating in heaven with her King and her true love of 62 years, Alfredo Gonzalez, who proceeded her in death exactly two years earlier to the day. Esther was born in Pearsall Texas on August 22, 1943 and moved to Holland MI in 1966 with Al and her three young daughters Cindy, Betty and Cordy. She settled into her new life in Holland and soon after welcomed their son Gene. Esther had a successful career at Donnelly Mirrors and retired after 40 years of service. Esther loved watching her family grow and adored her 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy that her family will always be grateful for and strive to continue. Esther was a person who led by example. She was compassionate, generous, had a loving heart and was truly the most humble person you would ever meet. She was also famous for her buttery scrambled eggs throughout the family and as hard as everyone tried, they never turned out as good as hers. Esther was proceeded in death by her husband Alfredo Gonzalez and granddaughter Nichole Amanda. She will be missed beyond words by her children Cynthia (Liandro) Morin, Betty (Rudy) Castro, Cordy Gonzalez, Gene (Lisa) Gonzalez. Her grandchildren Eric, Jessica, Adam, Alex, Samantha, Emeri, Gage and Rylee, her Great Grandchildren, Landon, Greg, Dominic, Iris and Kaizer and her siblings Adelina Villarreal, Gloria Sandoval, Willie Nava and Oscar Nava. A graveside service will be held to honor Esther’s amazing life at 11:00 am on Friday, July 1st, 2022 at the Pilgrim Home Cemetery 370 E. 16th St., Holland, MI 49423.
