Evelyn "Elaine" Winningham, 77, of Holland, passed away December 28, 2014. Elaine was born August 13, 1937, in Peru, Indiana, to John and Rena (Dague) Wilson. She grew up in Wabash, Indiana and graduated from Wabash High School in 1955. Elaine married the love of her life, Marvin Winningham, in 1956. Elaine worked in the home and Marv was employed by Montgomery Ward. In 1971, the whole Winningham family moved to Holland when Marv became the manager opening the new Montgomery Ward on 16th Street. Elaine and Marv were members at First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Marvin, their children: Melanie Lewin, Lorrie and Tyrone Hackney, Philip Winningham; grandchildren: Nick Lewin and fiancé Carrie Vaughn, Clint and Amber Lewin, Tyler Hackney, Ashely Hackney, Alicia and Thaddeus Gamez, Christina Winningham; great-grandchildren: Evelyn and Meredith Lewin, Arlee and Andee Gamez; brothers: Dave and Wanda Wilson of Indiana, Allen Wilson of Alaska, step-sister Nancy and Trevor Jones of Indiana. A funeral service to honor and remember the life of Elaine Winningham will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, at First United Methodist Church, 57 W. 10th Street, Holland. The Revs. David Newton and Sharon Rocker will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Friday, at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland.
