Harold "Tip" Jager

Harold "Tip" Jager, a beloved spouse, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on June 6, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born on January 29, 1935, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late parents Clarence and Elizabeth Jager. Harold was a resident of Bur nips, MI, where he spent his later years surrounded by loved ones. Harold, known affectionately as "Tip," was a man of many interests and talents. He had a deep appreciation for the great outdoors and found solace in activities such as hunting, fishing, and gardening. His green thumb was well-known among family and friends, as he cultivated beautiful, manicured lawn. In his earlier years, Harold proudly served in the army, where his dedication and commitment were highly regarded. He exemplified the values instilled in him during his military service throughout his life. Harold is survived by his loving family, including his spouse of 67 years, Arlene, children, and grandchildren, who were the center of his world. His memory will be forever cherished, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. In honor of Harold's life, a private gathering will be held to celebrate his memory and share stories of the remarkable person he was. May Harold "Tip" Jager rest in eternal peace, forever remembered for his love, kindness, and dedication to both his family and his country. Besides his wife Arlene he is survived by his children: Cindy and Jim Caywood, Linda and Phil Hunderman, and Wanda and Steve Ver Beek; his grandchildren and great grandchildren: Tonya and Dan Mannes (Weston, and Nolan), Josh and Heather Caywood (Grace, Audrey, and Ben), Amanda and Mark Nyhoff (Natalie, Adelynn, and Owen), Nathan and Kristen Hunderman (Braxton, Bennett, and Ella), Benjamin and Stephanie Hunderman (Zabe, and Eira), Traci and Travis Elenbaas, Zachary Ver Beek and his fiancé Emily Celeski, Hannah Ver Beek and William Rieves; and his brother Glenn and Sue Jager. Visitation will be 2-4 pm Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. A private funeral service will take place. Interment will be in Bentheim Cemetery.
