Irene Deters Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Irene Deters age 95, of Zeeland, died Monday, January 24, 2022 at an area care center. She was a Charter Member of Haven Christian Reformed Church in Zeeland. She was born in Graafschap and lived there until marrying John in 1953. After renting for a short while north of Holland, they built a home on the Black River in New Groningen in1960. Irene lived there until moving to Crestwood condos in 2013. She finished her years at Royal Park Place. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, John, Jr. and son Brent. She is survived by her son, Drew and Deb Deters; daughter-in-law, Jillane Deters; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Dustin and Stacy Deters (Colton, Jace), Nicholas and Megan Deters, Elizabeth Deters, Emily Deters; nephew, Bob and Kathy Piers, several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2022 at Haven Christian Reformed Church, 541 Alice Ave., Zeeland with Rev. Art Van Wolde officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, January 30, from 2-4 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State St. Zeeland. Memorial gifts may be given to Zeeland Christian School and Prison Fellowship Ministries.
