Joyce Ana "Gerakinis" Tripp

Joyce Ana (Gerakinis) Tripp, 53, of Burnips, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at her home. Joyce was born January 27, 1969, in East Grand Rapids, to Steven and Lois Gerakinis. Joyce graduated from Grand Rapids Baptist Academy and Liberty University. Joyce met Ed Tripp through church friends in 1999 and they married on September 29, 2000. Joyce and Ed raised their children in Burnips. Joyce's faith and family were her greatest loves and priorities. She enjoyed witnessing and providing mission information to those seeking answers about God and faith in Jesus Christ. Joyce was preceded in death by her father Anastasios "Steven" Gerakinis in 2020, her stepfather-in-law Leon Lynema, and an infant "Baby Kelly". She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ed, their children: Joshua, Josiah, Jenessa; her mother Lois Gerakinis of Grand Rapids, brother James & Heather Gerakinis of Allendale, mother-in-law Lucille Lynema of Jamestown, in-laws: Pamela Erlanger of Newaygo, Sherry & Kyle Weber of New Salem, Scott & Julie Tripp of Middleville, and many extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, February 11, 2022, at Trinity Baptist Church, 2050 Aberdeen Street NE, Grand Rapids MI 49505. Visitation will be 4-7 pm, Thursday, Feb 10, at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th Street, Holland MI 49423, and 11:00-11:45 am, Friday, prior to the funeral service at church. Interment will be in Jamestown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alpha Grand Rapids, or Women at Risk International.
