Leona Mae Terpsma Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Leona Terpsma, 97, of Holland, went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 26, 2021. Leona was born April 16, 1924, in Holland, Michigan, to Cornelius Jr. and Jennie (Wolters) Lokker. She graduated from Holland High School and later married Lewis Terpsma. Leona and Lewis raised their five children in Holland and were members of Bethel Reformed Church and later at Central Park Reformed Church. Leona in early adulthood worked at McLellan's Store in Downtown Holland, and later she worked at E.E. Fell School in food service. She was preceded in death by a grandson Ryan Terpsma in 1984, and her husband Lewis in 2002. Leona will be greatly missed by her children: Terry and Ruth Terpsma of Holland, Rick and Paula Terpsma of Farmington, NM, Kevin and Diana Terpsma of Phillips, Wisconsin, Valerie and Kim Nevenzel of Holland, Linda and Tom Kars of Holland; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, siblings: Dorothy Deters, Norm and Elaine Lokker; and many extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 30, 2021, at Central Park Reformed Church, 614 Myrtle Ave., Holland MI 49423. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at church. Interment will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland or Central Park Reformed Church. Arrangements are by Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland MI 49423.
