Leone G. VandenBerg

January 30, 1936 - April 11, 2022

Leone VandenBerg, age 86, of Zeeland, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at her home. Leone graduated from the West Suburban School of Nursing in Chicago and was the office manager for her husband, Dr. Robert VandenBerg for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Zeeland. Leone was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Robert VandenBerg; and daughter, Elaine Marie. Leone is survived by her: Children Lynn (Tim) Lash of Zeeland Tom (Kristi) VandenBerg of Holland Marcia (Tim) Hopkins of Grand Rapids Tim (Barb) VandenBerg of Caladonia Grandchildren David Lash, Shelly (Ricky) Tietloff, Lisa (Taylor) Hirvo, Robert VandenBerg, Beth (Mark) Stratmann, Becky VandenBerg, Ally (Rocky) Hawks, Cassie (Steve) Kauffmann, Nick (Gabby) Hopkins, Drew VandenBerg, Tyler VandenBerg, Malia VandenBerg 8 Great Grandchildren Sister Della Bouwman of Walker, MI In-laws Marvin Leeuw of Zeeland Geneva VandenBerg of Zeeland Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are planned for 11:00am Saturday, April 23 at First Baptist Church of Zeeland, 246 E. Main Ave., Zeeland. Pastor Jeremy Cobb will officiate. Burial will be in Zeeland Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00-8:00pm Friday, April 22 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S State St., Zeeland.
