Marvin Gritter

October 31, 1931 - January 12, 2022

Marvin "Muff" Gritter, age 90, of Zeeland, went home to rejoice with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. He served his family and community through ownership of Gritter Brothers Egg for more than 40 years. He also showed his strong faith through active involvement in his local church and various non-profits, as well as mentoring and loving countless individuals from all walks of life. He was deeply committed to his family and cultivated a legacy of generational faith and love for Jesus. He is survived by his wife of 3 ½ years, Judy; his children: the Reverend Dan and Jane Gritter, Doug and Von Gritter, Beth and Jack Zandstra and David and Marlae Gritter; 11 grandchildren: Nathan and Kai Gritter, Justin and Jodie Gritter, Eric and Deb Gritter, Rebecca and Steve Kraal, Matt Gritter, Luke and Shelley Gritter, Nicole Meengs, Chris and Alicia Zandstra, Michelle and Ben Rypma, Lindy and Kyle Flannigan, Joshua and Lara Musser-Gritter and 30 great grandchildren; his step-children Bob and Lynnae Bergman (Ross) and Kevin and Kari Bergman; his sister Winabelle Gritter; and his sister-in-law Marci Dykstra. Muff was preceded in death by his first wife Lavon "Bonnie" in 2017. Private funeral services will be held. Memorial contributions may be given to Western Michigan Teen Challenge or Hospice of Holland.
