Mary Jarnagin

February 15, 1937 - December 25, 2021

Mary Lou (Rakestraw) Jarnagin, age 84, of Canton, Illinois, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 25, 2021, at her residence in Holland, Michigan surrounded by loved ones. Mary was a strong and fearless woman who fiercely loved her family, friends and community. She was a dedicated member of the Trinity Reformed Church and gave tirelessly to her community. She was also a skilled and steadfast artist who openly shared her gift with many. May her life and generosity of spirit be an example to us all. Beloved wife and best friend of 67 years to Billy Jarnagin. Loving mother of Joyce Warncke, Thomas Jarnagin, and Billie Schlueter (David). Cherished grandmother to Shannon Zawacki (Robert II), Robert Schlueter (Jessica), Lisa Schlueter (Daniel), Thomas Warncke (Crystal) and Daniel Jarnagin, and proud great grandmother to Brenna Zawacki, Hannah Zawacki, Corey Warncke, Logan Warncke, Austin Zawacki, Keegan Warncke, Ava Schlueter and Claire Schlueter. She also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will miss her every day. A funeral service for Mary will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St., Holland. A time of visitation will be held prior, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in North Holland Cemetery.
