Rodney M. Overbeek, age 79, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Rodney served in the United States Army and was employed by Herman Miller for 32 years. He loved to fish, camp and loved his dogs. He was a private pilot and loved gardening. He is preceded in death by sister-in-law, Mary Ann Travis. Rodney is survived by his wife, Tippy "Priscilla", who were married for 53 years; his step-brothers, Ron & Kathy Sterken and Melvin & MaryJo Sterken; sister-in-law, Kay & Allen White; and nephews, Marc & Laura White and David & Lynn White. Visitation is 4:00-6:00 pm, Monday, January 30 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland, MI 49464. Funeral Services are 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 31 at Haven Reformed Church, 4691 Oak St., Hamilton, MI 49419, Rev. Marc deWaard to officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Hamilton. Memorial contributions may be made to Haven Reformed Church in Hamilton.
