Ruth Kleis

Ruth J. Kleis age 92, of Holland, died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, by a grandson, Nathan Kleis, a great granddaughter, Emma De Ruiter; brothers, Jay and Milton Meyaard. She is survived by her children, Sheryl and Robert De Ruiter, Jane and Bill Mc Carty, Steven and Pat Kleis, Bob and Deb Kleis; 7 grandchildren, Becky and Mark Brinks, Ross and Jamie De Ruiter, Jessica and Matt Frost, Stephanie Mc Carty, Christine and Andy Teichman, Laura and Scott Kass, Rachel and Max Forslund; 11 great grandchildren, Ethan, Isaac, Levi, Noah, Alaina, Jaydyn, Deacon, Savannah, Isabella, Leah, Logan, Ezekiel and Ira; brother, Jerry and Jan Meyaard, in-laws, Ruth Meyaard, Roger and Marge Kleis, Charlotte and Dale Van Haitsma, Margaret Kleis; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland with Rev. Dave Sikkema officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30-1:45pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland or Pillar Church.
