Ruth Knott age 92, of Holland, died Saturday, July 17, 2021 at an area care center. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Knott in 2017. Ruth was a member of Christ Memorial Church. She is survived by her children: Nanci J. Hirssig of Jamestown, MI., Joan and Derek DeGroot of Wheaton, Il; grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Aaron and Kristi Cueto (Ava, Calvin), Dr. Justin and Vania Cueto (Phoenix, Indio, River), Kristin and Nick Movesian (Ben, Levi), Mark and Tricia DeGroot (Jacob, Rachel), Adam and Whitney DeGroot (Kai, Eli, Tait, Ben, Honor), Amy and Ryan Zmich; brother, Harold and Jan Vande Kopple; in-laws: Alice Knott, Rose Knott, A great gift of friendship for Ruth is Nhu and Le Phan and their family. A time off visitation will be Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 11:00 am, to 12:30 p.m. at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland. A family graveside service will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to the Right to Life Education Fund or Hospice of Michigan.
