Then Duch

December 25, 1962 - December 25, 2021

Then Duch, 59, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021. He left us too soon, and the world lost a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Then was preceded in death by his mother, Kimsorn Chun, his brothers, Chamroeun Duch, Chansovy Duch, Sorithy Duch, a sister Channy Duch, and a grandchild, Havah Duch. He is survived by his father, Phan Duch and stepmother, Chhap Duch; his wife, Sokly Duch; his siblings, Chhaya Pech, Sopheana Duch, and Sophany Boyagian (Michael Boyagian); his children, Sophat Duch (Mai Tang Duch), Sophal Duch, Bopha Duch, Annika Duch, Patrick Duch, and Neary Duch. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 4 nephews and nieces. Then was an adventurer and free spirit who enjoyed movies and food. He loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Then also loved the church and was a missionary in Cambodia. Then will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but we have peace in knowing that he went home to be with his Lord and Savior in heaven. Funeral services are planned for 10:30am Friday, December 31 at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E 16th St., Holland with Rev. Socheth Na and Rev. Sophat Duch officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00-7:00pm Thursday and 9:00-10:00am Friday, also at the funeral home.
