Wayne Schout

August 23, 1941 - January 29, 2017

Wayne Schout, age 75 of Zeeland, went to meet his Lord and Savior Sunday, January 29, 2017 following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda; his children: Robin and Lane Brands, Michelle and Mike Zylstra; grandchildren: Andrew Brands and Emily Brands, Rachel Zylstra and Derek Zylstra; siblings: Norma and Arnie Disselkoen, Judy Koop and Lloyd and Melva Schout; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Brenda and Lee Michels, Gloria and Jake Toering, Al and Mary Berens, Linda and Wayne Harmsen, Kathie and Carl Slotman and Duane and Sue Berens. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents Marv and Mary Schout, his brother Don Schout and his brother-in-law Paul Koop. Wayne was a member of First Reformed Church of Zeeland where he served as an elder and deacon. He worked for many years at Zeeland Chemical, retiring from there in 2001. The visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. The funeral service will be 12 Noon Thursday, February 2, 2017 at First Reformed Church, 125 East Lincoln, Zeeland. Interment will be in Zeeland Cemetery.
